Kari Ann Volen Biography


Kari Ann Volen has been involved in pageantry for over 16 years as a pageant contestant, coach, choreographer, producer, emcee, and judge. She has experience with numerous pageant systems and with all age levels. As a competitor, Kari has held numerous titles, was crowned Mrs. California-America 2013. She also placed in the Top Six for Mrs. American 2013. She has won multiple swimsuit and fitness awards as well as being an interview and evening gown preliminary winner. She has appeared as a runway model and has experience in both television and film. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Cinema & Broadcasting Arts from Azusa Pacific University and also received training from the New York Film Academy. She is a member of Soroptimist International Downey and the Downey Elks Lodge. Kari currently serves as the Community Education & Development Representative fro Downey Federal Credit Union and is owner of “Pageant Coaching & Designs”, a full-service pageant consulting company. Enjoys running, scrapbooking and volunteering with “No Worries Now”, “The National Cervical Cancer Coalition”, and “The national Eating Disorder Association”. Volen is a familiar face in Downey, CA. She develops customized training for all ages of Downey students – from kindergarten through high school – about the importance of money management, having a budget, and saving for the future.
